The 2005 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) include major changes from the guide- lines last revised in 2000. These guidelines are a product of the 2005 International Consensus Conference on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiac Care hosted by the American Heart Association in Dallas, Texas, January 2005.
